dscf1500

Marquetry is an ancient art using thin sheets of veneer as decoration. It can be applied to functional objects or strictly enjoyed as an art form.

Parquetry is a form of marquetry that uses geometric shapes only. This one is called a “Compass Rose” and is made of dyed poplar and wenge on a book matched Carpathian elm burl background.
